Barcelona are all set to host Liverpool in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final at Camp Nou, tonight. Will the Blaugrana succeed in keeping a clean sheet? Well, I doubt that because the Reds are in outstanding form and they have players, who can score an important away goal for their side.

The Blaugrana have already won La Liga last weekend after defeating Levante 1-0. This means that the Ernesto Valverde’s side is just two trophies away from accomplishing their third treble and first sinch 2015.

Barcelona are in the final of Copa del Rey and will face Valencia at the end of this month. The Bats aren’t in great form and the Blaugrana will easily sail over them. That means the only trophy that is left to complete the treble is the Champions League. However, winning the UCL is not going to be easy as Liverpool will act as the biggest barrier.

Liverpool, on the other hand, have scored the highest ever points in their history of the Premier League but are still in the second position. Manchester City are the current leaders with one more point extra than the Reds. With two more games left in the league, everybody is expecting the Citizens to win their second consecutive league title.

That means the only trophy that Liverpool can win is the Champions League. However, they have to defeat the Spanish giants in order to make their current season successful.

The last time these two sides faced each other was back in 2006-07 Champions League knockout stage. Liverpool got better of Barcelona back then as they won 2-1 at Camp Nou and progressed on the away goals rule.

The Reds are unbeaten in the previous four visits to the Camp Nou, winning two and drawing two. Overall, the Reds edge the head-to-head record with three wins to Barca’s two, and three draws.

Moreover, Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 22 fixtures in all competitions. While Liverpool have won 10 consecutive games in all competitions. However, the Reds have conceded a goal in every Champions League away fixture this season.

Injury Update

Rafinha is the only player, who is going to be absent from this crucial fixture. Other than this there are no other injury issues and Valverde will have a variety of players to play in this encounter.

As for Liverpool, all their players are fit and will feature in this encounter against Barcelona.
