Borussia Dortmund is all set to host Tottenham Hotspur in the 2nd leg of the last 16-tie of the UEFA Champions League tonight. The home side has a mountain to climb as they lost 3-0 against Spurs in the first leg last month.

The last few games haven’t been good for either of these two sides. Dortmund started their season on high note as they were way ahead of their arch rival Bayern Munich in the league. However, things have changed a lot like both the Bundesliga sides are on the same point currently, but Dortmund are on top due to better goal difference

Dortmund have won only one out of their last seven games in all competitions. With the latest defeat coming on last weekend against Augsburg in the league.

Spurs, on the other hand, have a no different story. They were being considered Premier League title contenders this season. However, their sloppy form in last few games has put them 10 points off league leaders Manchester City.

Tottenham lost to Burnley and then Chelsea following a draw against Arsenal at home in the last weekend game. These three bad results have not only hurt their chances in the league but also raised doubt about them for this fixture.

Spurs are undefeated in their last five UEFA Champions League fixtures. Moreover, they have defeated the German club in their last three meetings in all competitions. These stats show how solid the visitors have performed against Dortmund. Nevertheless, one good game for the BVB and everybody will forget about the past.

Dortmund must score at least three goals in order to take this fixture to extra-time. While Spurs have to score just one goal as it will almost kill all the chances of qualifying for the home side.

Injury Update

Lukasz Piszczek is the only player, who is going to miss this crucial fixture against Tottenham tonight.

As for Spurs, Harry Winks, Eric Dier, and Dele Alli are all doubtful for this encounter due to injury issues.
