The in-form Pep Guardiola’s side is all set to travel to Stamford Bridge tonight in search of three crucial points. That will help them in staying on top of the Premier League points table.

This is going to be a ferocious battle as Manchester City are still undefeated in the Premier League. While Chelsea are struggling but have an amazing record at home.

The Citizens maintained their pace as they defeated Watford 2-1 in the last fixture while Chelsea dropped more points after facing a 2-1 defeat against Wolves. This win of City helped them in staying on top of the points table with 41 points from 15 games. Chelsea, on the other hand, slipped down to the fourth spot with 31 points from 15 fixtures.

Liverpool thrashed Bournemouth 4-0 in the earlier game tonight and that has taken them to the top of the league points table. Now, if the Blues hand City their first defeat of the season then it will help the Reds in staying at the top. However, the Citizens need to draw tonight as it will once again put them on the top of the points table.

I’m expecting this game to be a close battle. However, the stats suggest something else. Manchester City have won 11 out of their last 13 away games. Also, the Citizens have successfully won their last three fixtures against the Blues in all competitions. To add more to it, City kept clean sheets in all three games.

These stats clearly tell us that City has been the better side in the past among the two. However, the Blues were in phenomenal form in the starting of this season and if they have to regain that form then they might succeed in winning tonight.

Injury Update

As for Chelsea, only Victor Moses is doubtful for this fixture. Other than Moses there is no one, who is facing injury issues.

Manchester City, on the other hand, are going through a bad phase as their key players are injured and will miss this crucial fixture against the Blues. Claudio Bravo, Sergio Aguero, Kevin de Bruyne, Benjamin Mendy, Eliaquim Mangala are all injured and will not be traveling to Stamford Bridge tonight.
