After the victory of France in the first game of Group C. Everybody’s eyes will be on the second battle of Group C between Peru and Denmark. Both Peru and Denmark would like to start their 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign on a positive note. So, one thing is clear that it is going to be a close battle as both the teams will try to thwart each other from winning the game.
Peru is playing in the World Cup after 36 years. The last time Peru qualified for the World Cup was in 1982. While Denmark will be playing World Cup after a gap of eight years. In 2010 World Cup, Denmark couldn’t go ahead of group stages. All of this shows that it’s more important for Peru to perform in the competition because they got such opportunity after a long wait. However, Denmark has a better squad and will try their best to go as further as possible in the tournament.
Peru has won two out of their last three friendlies. Denmark, on the other hand, has won one out of their last two friendlies. Both the teams played a draw against Sweden in the friendly game. However, Denmark defeated Mexico in the friendlies which means that Denmark has an edge over Peru.
Also, Australia which is in the same group played quite well against France today and will be one of the contenders to qualify for last 16-tie. Both Denmark and Peru would have to perform well because then only their chances of going ahead in the competition will be alive. If either of the two teams in the game with a huge margin, then they will have more chances along with France to qualify for next stage in the World Cup.
