Man of the Match

Man of the Match: Sergio Aguero

The encounter between the two top clubs of the Premier League was nothing less than an explosion. Because the Citizens fired six goals against the visitors.

The major credit for this phenomenal win of the City goes to their talisman, Sergio Aguero. As he scored his 11th Premier League hat-trick and helped his side in thrashing Chelsea last night. With this hat-trick, he also equalized the most Premier League hat-trick record of Alan Shearer.

This marvelous performance of the Argentine left us with no option other than presenting him the Man of the Match award.

The City striker missed an early goal from two yards and then scored a phenomenal strike from 25 yards. After this strike, he didn’t stop as he half-volleyed from six-yard and scored a penalty later to complete his hat-trick.

This performance of the Argentine also made him the City’s all-time top league goal scorer with 160 goals. He surpassed the former record of 158 goals of Tommy Johnson and Eric Brook.
