Matchweek 22 of the Premier League saw some mixed results. Few expected teams were emerged victorious while a couple of sides, who were expected to win, lost their fixture.
The first shocking result from last weekend fixtures was West Ham United defeating Arsenal 1-0 with a help of the only goal of the game from Deelan Rice. This victory of the Hammers helped them in getting themselves near to the Premier League leaders and away from the relegation zone.
Liverpool got back to winning ways as they defeated Brighton 1-0 in an away fixture and are four points clear at the top of the points table. Burnley, on the other hand, got lucky as Fulham scored two own goals after an early strike from Andre Schurrle.
Another shocking result came from the game between Leicester City and Southampton. The Foxes were defeated by a 10-man side of the Saints. The major reason for this defeat was the miserable defending from the Leicester backline.
On the same day, Chelsea defeated Newcastle United 2-1 and kept themselves safe in the top-four of the League points table.
The most upsetting result that came from Matchweek 22 was from the fixture between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game and Spurs strikers were left frustrated by a phenomenal performance of David de Gea.
The last game of the week saw Manchester City continuing their dominating performance in the Premier League. The Citizens defeated Wolves 3-0, and this was quite a big win. Because the visitors performed solidly against all the other top teams in the English League this season.
We have kept in mind individual stats and recent performances. More importance was given if the player was from a relatively smaller club.
